I hope you can make it to my session on Wednesday, Transform Your Customer Contact Database Into An Advantage. This covers a topic most companies admit is a challenge, but gets left on the back burner.

If you have 30-minutes here are some of my faves. The venue is on Boylston St. in the Back Bay, which was swamp land many years ago.

1-Go out the door and take a right. Walk about 3 blocks to the Boston Public Library. It’s one of the top 5 in the country.  The new building has a café where the local NPR station broadcasts live a few days a week at noon. The old building has huge lions to greet you, wonderful murals, a hidden courtyard and more. Walk around.

2-Parallel to Boylston St. are Newbury St. and then Commonwealth Avenue (aka Comm Ave). Cross Boylston and walk one block with your back to the venue. You will be taking Gloucester, Fairfield or Exeter St. Newbury is first, and this is where the beautiful people hang out.

3-Cross Newbury and in one block you will run into Comm Ave. It has a beautiful linear park running down the middle. Take a right and in about 5 blocks you will end at the Public Gardens. George Washington will greet you and try to find the monument to anesthesia, replica of the Brooklyn Bridge, or the Make Way for the Ducklings sculptures.

4-The Mapparium at the Christian Science Center. It’s just behind the venue. There is a globe of the world you can walk into. Bring a friend and try to talk to each other. The acoustics are amazing.

5-There is a new CitizenM hotel on the corner of Newbury and Mass Ave. It was built over a highway and has a great lobby to hang at and some interesting urban spaces.
