CustomerX Roadshow Boston

Putting AI to Work: The Customer Marketer's Playbook for a Smarter Program
Sponsored by SlapFive and Advocacy Maven
The CustomerX 2026 Roadshow is coming home to Boston!
For almost ten years, CustomerXCon has brought the customer marketing and advocacy community together to advance the profession. In 2026 we're evolving to a regional format. Smaller rooms, more senior practitioners, and an agenda built for people who are past the curiosity stage and ready to get specific about where AI fits in their CMA program. We piloted this format in London last year, took it across the US in the spring, and now we're bringing it back to Boston, where it all started!
We're excited to bring together a curated group of senior level customer pros for a day focused on future-proofing both the discipline and careers in the age of AI. The agenda is packed full:
  • A keynote full of bold predictions on how AI savvy customer programs will drive tangible business outcomes
  • A presentation on the State of Post-Sale in 2026
  • A panel discussion on Putting AI to Work across the customer lifecycle: Evolving our approach when AI sits on both sides of the vendor-customer relationship
  • A mini-hackathon designed to empower non-technical customer pros to design and build their own simple AI workflows on the spot. You'll leave with something real you you can bring back to your team on Monday.
And it wouldn’t be CustomerX without a lively happy hour to follow, hosted by our friends at Bevy!
Seats are limited. Register now.

How to Win AEO With Customer Voice

AEO is the new battleground for brand visibility, and the advantage goes to whoever owns the most credible proof. Jeff makes the case that first-person, verified customer voice is the strongest signal answer engines have, then shows how leading CMOs are turning it into the citations that decide who gets recommended at every step of the buyers journey.

The State of Post-Sale 2026: Why the AI Economy Is Rewriting the Customer-Facing Org

Post-sale is where B2B growth lives now, and in most companies it's still five teams doing five jobs. Success, Community, Advocacy, Loyalty, and Expansion each run their own playbook, keep their own dashboard, and compete for the same customer's attention. That fragmentation was survivable when growth came from net-new. In an economy where AI has made pipeline cheap to generate and customer trust the scarce asset, it has become the biggest structural liability on the org chart. Advocacy Maven has been drilling down into how post-sale leaders are actually responding, from reorgs in motion to functions rebuilt around AI tooling, and the patterns challenge how most companies think about consolidation. In this session, Diana Gabrovneau shares what the research shows: which parts of post-sale work AI is genuinely absorbing, which parts should stay human, and why the companies moving fastest are putting the five outcomes under a single accountable owner and running them as one function.

Approaching the customer lifecycle when AI sits on both sides of the vendor-customer relationship

AI isn’t just changing how companies market, sell to, and serve customers. It’s changing how customers discover, research, evaluate, buy from, and engage with companies. That means AI increasingly sits on both sides of the vendor-customer relationship. Vendors are using it to scale outreach, personalize engagement, surface insights, and automate work across the lifecycle. At the same time, customers are using AI to research vendors, evaluate claims, compare solutions, find answers, and decide when, or whether, they need to engage with a human at all. Our panel brings together leadership perspectives from Revenue, Customer Success, and CMA to explore what this shift means in practice. Where is AI changing the customer journey already? Where are human relationships and credible customer voices becoming more important rather than less? How do customer teams need to evolve when the traditional boundaries between pre- and post-sale are getting fuzzier?
